At the pond

From our pond Aug 11, 2013  2 bass and a perch.  We stocked the pond with baby fish about this time last year and here are some of the results.

Caught a coyote in my snare and a bull frog migrated to our pond.  I also put 100 bull frog tadpoles in about a month ago.   Now we have crayfish, catfish, perch, tadpoles, bass, tilapia and minnows.  Little by little it is becoming a well stocked pond.

Solar Panels was a no brainer

Solar was an offer too good to be true!   Looking into solar I found CPS, our utility company, would pay up to $25K on the solar panels in the form of a rebate, so I bought the max that I could to use all the rebate.  So $25K of solar panels, with the rebate, were free.  All I had to spend was the $10K for the installation and the US Gov gives me 30% of that back in a Tax Credit.  Total out of the pocket $7K for a system that will produce about $200/mon for 40 years... A no brainer!  

As the cost of everything goes up with time, because the value of the dollar goes down, the $200 / mon in savings is only going to get bigger!

I have a grid tie system, meaning no batteries.  Batteries are costly and require maintenance and will only last highside 6 yr till you have to replace them.  So CPS the utility company becomes my battery backup system.  During the day the panels make electricity and the meter runs "backwards" and then at night we get home and start using things and the meter runs forward.  The goal is to have my daily use equal my daily production.  zero bill.  

I think you can get the jest of my plan from that.  If I have too few panels I will add more till I get to a zero monthly use, with NO plan to sell back to CPS.  I want a zero bill.  Now I have 60 panels so we will see how that does.  Lots of sun should mean lots of energy.  By the way it makes my electric car energy really free from the sun!  LOL

It seems to me that the News Media has gone to great length to portray anyone who prepares for future "hard time" as a complete fool or idiot.  The TV show "Preppers"  always shows people who seem to be "off the deep-end, or over the top" and then analyzes their preparations at the end of each segment as silly and useless!   Who in their right mind would want to be identified with preppers the way TV portrays them?

Let me say one thing.  The US Government and other governments of the world have gone to extreme measures to make sure they they (the elite rich) will pull through any world disastrous events with huge caves carved out of solid granite mountains and have proven to be the biggest preppers of all!   see here:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheyenne_Mountain_nuclear_bunker

Since 2002 I have been warning all that would listen to my voice/writings and many who would not listen to prepare at least some for hard times that are coming upon the whole World.  The idea that we are miraculously going to disappear in a Rapture just before hard times hit is simply a religious myth!   

God gave Joseph warning and time to prepare 7 years before hard time hit.  We are not without warning.  Noah prepared for 100 years and it certainly paid off!  Any sober minded person who take the time to do a bit of study on the internet and news can discern storm clouds are on the horizon.  Once again, I am saying do what you can to make some preparations    IF something happens i.e. dirty bomb, economic collapse, grid attack, nuclear war,  earth quake, extreme weather, plague, violence/riots, our grocery stores are 3 days from being completely out of food.

1. Store food and water and emergency supplies.  Make sure U can eat for 3 days, then a week, then month, then 3 months, then a year!

2.  If the world loses confidence in our paper IOUs, we call money, make sure U have some gold or silver, (real money) stored away.  (in the last 10 years silver has increased 572%)  (while your US dollar has erroded 27.97%)    If U were to leave an inheritance to your children's children would U rather leave then 10 oz of Gold or  150 $100 dollar bills?  Think about it.

3. Get rid of your gas guzzler and dont replace it with another.  Do your part to conserve.  

4.  Learn to grow your own food.  It takes time and patience and much study to be self sufficient and it is best started now when there is no pressure on you to produce, like there would be in a disaster.  By the book "Square foot Gardening"  You can grow food on solid rock, or desert sand so there is no excuse!

5.  Make sure you are helping the poor,orphans and widows, as contrasted with building men's kingdoms in Babylon.  There is no Bible rule to pay tithes to a church building or salaried preachers but every Bible teaching to remember the poor.

6.  Make sure you are listening to the leadings of God.  The hidden things belong to God but those things revealed belong to us and to our children   You need to hear what the Spirit is saying to us.  Get the clutter out of your life and mind so you can hear.  The 7th church age, us, the Lukewarms are declared to be rich with fine apparel and increased with goods.  (That is us)  And yet the indictment against is : that spiritually we are blind miserable and naked.  We are spiritually bankrupt in our riches!  Wow!  Think about that as you attend Big Church! 

7. Stop living Ur life on the edge.  Stop spending every dollar U make.  Put some away just in case.  Consider the ant.
